What is Invisalign?
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign is clear, custom-made aligners that fit over your teeth and are practically unnoticeable by others. You wear your aligners in two-week increments, only removing them when you eat or brush and floss your teeth. Every couple of weeks you change out your aligners for a new set. Each new set of aligners is slightly different that then previous set and they work to straighten your teeth slowly over time.
Getting started with Invisalign
To begin Invisalign treatment, a patient undergoes an evaluation by Dr. Lippi to determine a treatment plan. Each treatment plan will vary for patients, depending on their needs.
How long will it take to straighten my teeth?
The length of treatment will also vary for each patient. Treatments using Invisalign may consist of about 18-30 sets of aligners that are changed out every two weeks, and the duration of treatment may take anywhere from 9-15 months to reach desired results.
Invisalign aligners are custom-made, right in our office. To handcraft the aligners, we use 3-D imaging technology, along with our knowledge and expertise. Patients love Invisalign because the aligners are comfortable to wear and to care for your aligners is easy. Our staff will ensure you are given proper instructions on how to care for your aligners, as well as informing you of proper oral hygiene habits.
